Commercial EPC Levels 3 and 4
EPCs are Energy Performance Certificates and they rate the energy performance of a building. The Government have announced the following timescale for the introduction of Commercial Energy Performance Certificates which will be required at point of sale or rent on Commercial properties as follows:-
- Buildings over 10,000 sq meters 1st April 2008
- Buildings over 2,500 sq meters 1st July 2008
- Buildings below 2,500 sq meters 1st October 2008
The cost of a commercial EPC for non domestic buildings will not just be based on size but also on the complexity of the services in the building such as air conditioning and ventilation.
