Miller Mitchell were founded in 1976 as a Partnership by Ian Miller to carry out Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy commissions. A Project Management and Building Surveying Division were added in the early 1990’s when Chris Mitchell joined the business.
In April 2001 mmbl became part of the Howards Group Limited, a company totally dedicated to the provision of property related services. The practice of Burley Lane & Partners were acquired in November 2001 when the name was changed to Miller Mitchell Burley Lane Limited. Group turnover now exceeds £7.0 million per annum.
Miller Mitchell Burley Lane (MMBL) has expanded considerably in this period following the award of a number of public sector contracts including most recently project management of the English House Condition Survey for the Department of Communities and Local Government (formerly Office of the Deputy Prime Minister)
